Classes

Our studio offers many beginner classes in both wheel and hand building techniques. These are perfect for folks who are ready to begin their journey in ceramics and working with clay.

If you’re just wanting to dust yourself off from a long hiatus or want to challenge yourself, we offer intermediate wheel, hand building and portrait sculpture classes.

Open Studio

Dedicated non-instructional work time available for members and students to drop in anytime during our open studio hours.

With 12 wheels, several large work tables and plenty of storage space for your in-progress works, you can work at your own pace and enjoy the full use of our facilities.

Wind down your week with good friends, good drinks and clay. Handmade Happy Hour is a perfect Friday night destination for you to kickstart your creative energy for the weekend with our fun wheel and hand building workshops. (21+)

Studio construction is done and the pinch pots have been unpacked! If you've taken a class with us before, you know we give little pinch pots with an agave pup to our crafty community. We do this because we are so happy you are growing with us! We'll be giving away more pinch pots and agave cups at our studio opening party. Comment "pinch me" and I'll let you know how to RSVP!
Each mug was built differently, something we love to see! ~~~ It's been one week since our Mug Making workshop, and your mugs are drying out nicely! Soon. they will be bisque fired, a process that helps harden the clay but the clay is still porous! A coating of glaze will be added and the pieces will be fired again. In this firing, the glaze will turn into a glassy coat that binds to the clay and makes the mug (or teacup!) waterproof! Do you see your mug? Let us know in the comments below!
It's been almost a week since our mug making workshop, and your mugs are drying out nicely! After an initial bisque firing, all moisture will have been removed from the clay. But the mugs are still porous! A glaze is applied and the piece is put through a final round of firing. The glaze leaves the mug with a glassy coating, and finally the piece is waterproof!
